Alpine Glades at 49° North Mountain Resort


Phase I, Alpine Glades, located on 50 acres at the base of the Sunrise Quad chairlift, is the first phase of the Sunrise Basin Development. Alpine Glades will provide a mix of single-family housing, duplexes, condominiums, a lodge and a resort hotel.

The initial offering of phase I in 2016 will have home sites, duplex lots, homes, townhouses and condos all featuring true ski-in/ski-out access to the Sunrise Quad chairlift (chair 5).


With the Development, ADG will commence the first phase of the Resort’s expansion with the Master Planned Resort mountainside community of Alpine Glades. The Development consists of 50 acres within the 320-acre privately-owned Property, surrounded by the ski area on the eastern slope of Chewelah Peak.

Alpine Glades will provide the public with increased year-round access to the forest areas surrounding Chewelah Peak, enhance the existing ski area, and cater predominantly to a family visitor clientele. The total Property is expected to be developed in a series of 3-5 year phases over the next 20 years.


The ALPINE LODGE will be a 64 unit condominium hotel designed with a five level pavilion building including lobby, retail, restaurant, bar, club and meeting facilities, connected to seven residential structures containing condominium units. The first two residential structures will be three level 8-plex structures with two 650 SF Studio units, two 950 SF 1-bedroom units, two 750 SF studio plus loft units, and two 1,200 SF one-bedroom plus loft units.

Each structure will have garages located on a lower entry level with units located on two levels above the garages. Depending on the number of units reserved it is anticipated that between one and three 8-plex structures will be constructed each year during the first few years of the development.


THE GLADES will be a 28 unit townhouse/condominium development located on Nelson Creek Road just uphill from The Glades ski tunnel. There will be a total of four structures on the uphill side of the road facing the Alpine Way ski-way, and four structures on the downhill side of the road facing the Hut Route ski-way. The first structure to be constructed on lot 3.1 will include either four or five units depending on whether one larger two level unit is reserved or smaller stacked units are reserved.

The other structures will contain between two and four units each with some units configured with lock-off units which can be rented separately from the primary unit. Depending on the number of units reserved it is anticipated that one to three of THE GLADES structures will be constructed each year during the first few years of the development.


The lots are large enough to allow for customized owner-built homes and are designed for custom homes with sizes ranging from a minimum of 4,500 square feet to about 14,500 square feet.

You may use your own builder and design your own ski-in and ski-out single family home (must follow design guidelines) when you purchase a lot.
